Ginsborough's work is also an influence to my ideas because of his almost theatrical stage paintings. The characters in his work stand out and make you wonder what they are doing in such a natural habitat in such elaborate clothing and looking so poised making them look unusual in there surrounding. This is what i hope to create; so people think about when they are looking and why my subject is in that situation.
